Inferno wheels up

An overturned Inferno (note the broken axle).

Mechanical Mayhem was a Fan Made Robot Wars Series which debuted on January 2 2010 and ended abruptly on June 24th 2011, only 3 episodes into Series 2.

Series 1 (January 2010- April 2010[]

Series 1 was the first (and only) full length FMRW series from LegoJunk96, though it was preceded first by the "Pure Evil Bot Competition" (uploaded October 2009 and deleted late 2011 due to it's poor quality) and "LegoJunk96's Holiday Special", uploaded in 4 parts on December 22nd 2009 to commemorate the winter holiday season.

The series consisted of 12 heats labeled A-L, usually uploaded in two parts. Each heat included 2 fights of 4 robots, and 3 fights of 2 robots. 2 winners of each fight of 4 would go on to fight against another of the 2 winners of the other fight of 4, and after there was a winner from each of those fights those winners would fight each other to be the winner of the heat and go on to the semi finals.

Round 1 of Heat A included Buzzkill, Heavy Artillery, Inferno, and Anger.

Heavy Artillery immediately rammed towards Inferno, drove up the wedge and ended up on it's top, "wheels" to the sky. Inferno tried multiple times to flip them out of the arena (at one point hard enough to dislodge their notoriously weak rear axle, though it was "miraculously" reconnected) but had no success despite getting them well above the walls of the arena with each flip. Finally, Heavy Artillery ended up on the floor flipper and ejected from the arena. Notably, Buzzkill and Anger stayed largely static during the entire encounter. After Heavy Artillery was ejected from the arena, Buzzkill was the next to make a charge at Inferno, but toppled over to their side by the wall nearest to the camera. Inferno went in for another flip, but their weak axle gave out again, and in the process of trying to move ended up flipped completely over. Anger then pushed Buzzkill onto the flame pit, which it was not able to move from. Anger then pushed Buzzkill into the corner of the house robot Golem, who pushed an upside down Buzzkill around for a bit before flipping Anger nearly out of the arena. Buzzkill tried unsuccessfully to right itself, and Anger was able to get off of the wall which it had been pinned to when it was flipped by Golem, hitting the pit release in the process. Anger then aggressively pushed an overturned Inferno into the wall, after which the house robot Thrasher emerged and lived up to it's name by repeatedly striking Inferno on the rear side near it's already broken axle. After this, the match ends. Inferno lose as a result of being largely inactive for the latter part of the match, and Anger goes through. Buzzkill also goes through to the next round despite being immobile for a longer period than Inferno, due to still being in operable condition.

Death Trap no weapon

Death Trap after having it's spinning weapon removed by Triple H

Round 2 of Heat A included Lunas, Triple H, Grimace, and Death Trap.

Lunas immediately rammed both Grimace and Death Trap, pushing both back. It then flipped Grimace several times before turning it's sights on Triple H, which spun and smacked Lunas on the side. Triple H tried to spin again, but bounced off the arena wall in the process. It then spun again to hit the back of Lunas, hitting the relatively light bot hard enough to send it into the wall. Triple H then collided with Death Trap's spinning weapon hard enough to not only remove it completely, but also send pieces of it around the arena. It then spun Death Trap into the arena wall, first the side with the pit release and then all the way to the far wall, where Death Trap ended up on it's head. In the process of this attack, Death Trap hit the pit release and opened the pit. Triple H then proceeded to hit Death Trap hard enough to put it back on it's wheels and then send it across the arena. Unfortunately, Triple H's attack was so powerful it was sent into the pit, but the robot was so long only half of it would fit. Lunas, who had mostly been standing by at this point while Triple H dealt blows to Death Trap, seized the opportunity and tried to lift Triple H the rest of the way into the pit, but once this failed rammed Triple H into the near wall instead. Lunas then flipped Triple H, who was then free to spin up to speed and hit Lunas twice. Triple H then hits Death Trap again, and pushes them onto the flame pit. Death Trap found a second wind after their time on the flame pit, and became more mobile than they had been for most of the fight. However, shortly after they were hit by Triple H repeatedly and ended up wheels up again, before being sent to the pit. Suddenly, Grimace who had been immobile for most of the match up to this point, began to move but was handily thrashed by Triple H, being thrown to the far side of the arena. Grimace recovered relatively quickly and lifted Triple H on the back wall, in Golem's corner. Golem then became involved, lifting Triple H so high that the edge of it's weapon was briefly hooked on the arena wall, but was unwittingly freed by Grimace in an attempt to remove Triple H from the arena. Triple H then spun into Grimace violently, and approached Lunas which flipped them twice. Triple H tried to spin up to speed, but bounced off of the arena walls three times. Triple H was then attacked by Rebel for wandering too close to it's corner, and then Thrasher joined in. However, Triple H retaliated and ended up hitting Thrasher hard enough to lodge it's "pencil weapon" deep into the wall. Triple H then smacked a trapped Thrasher repeatedly, but Thrasher was able to escape when it's weapon broke off. Triple H then knocked Thrasher into the pit, and went on a destructive spree, throwing around Rebel and starting to terrorize Golem, but the match ended and went to a judges decision. Triple H and Lunas went through to the next round.
